Using a typewriter

Alice turned on her typewriter. She centered a piece of paper in the platen and turned the platen knob clockwise to secure the paper. Then she fed the paper into the typewriter with the "return" key. She loosened the paper release lever and straightened the paper. After she set the margins, she typed the title of the document. She hit "return" to begin a new line. Alice pressed the "shift" key and a "letter" key to type an upper case letter. She backspaced and corrected an error. When she was finished, she turned the platen knob counterclockwise and pulled the paper out of the typewriter.
