Practicable/practical/practised

1. Practicable /'præktikəbl/ (tính từ): khả thi, có thể thực hiện được.

= Capable of being done/sensible: khả năng được làm, có ý thức.

Ví dụ:

It's just isn't practicable/practical to go back to as soon as you've had a baby. (not 'practised')

(Cô không thể đi làm ngay sau khi sinh con được đâu).

- Từ đồng nghĩa: accessible, achievable, applicable, attainable, employable, performable.

- Từ trái nghĩa: impossible, impracticable, unattianable, unreasonable, unworkable.

2. Practical /'præktɪkəl/ (tính từ): thực hành, thiết thực.

= Sensible, competent: khéo léo, nhanh trí, nhạy cảm.

Ví dụ:

Ann is so calm and practical. She does everything well. (not 'practicable/practised')

(Ann rất bình tĩnh và khéo tay. Cô ta làm tốt tất cả mọi thứ).

= Good at making and repairing things: giỏi làm hay sửa chữa các đồ vật.

Ví dụ:

I'm not at all practical. I can't even use a hammer. (not 'practicable/practised')

(Tôi không khéo tay một chút nào cả. Tôi thậm chí không biết dùng búa nữa).

It's an excellent teaching course with plenty of opportunity for practical experience.

(Đó là một khóa học sư phạm tuyệt vời với nhiều cơ hội cho ta những kinh nghiệm thực tế).

3. Practised /'præktist/ (Tính từ): có kinh nghiệm, chuyên gia.

= Practiced (AmE: tiếng Mỹ).

Ví dụ: 

You've be Ok. Mrs Linda is an extremely practised osteopath.

(Cậu nhất định sẽ khỏe thôi. Bà Linda là kỹ thuật viên lý liệu có rất nhiều kinh nghiệm).

- Từ đồng nghĩa: skillfull, trained, expert, adept, able.

- Từ trái nghĩa: untrained.
