This construction is used to show a gradual increase, cấu trúc này dùng để diễn tả sự tăng dần của một tính chất nào.
1) Với tính từ ngẳn.

Short Adjective + er + and + Short Adjective + er |
Ex: The cost of living is very high. It has become higher and higher.
Giá cả sinh hoạt rất cao. Giá cả sinh hoạt càng lúc càng tăng cao.
2) Với tính từ dài.

Ex: Our lessons are very difficult.
Our lessons are more and more difficult.

This construction is used to show a parallel increase, cấu trúc này dùng để diễn tả sự gia tăng song hành.

1/ Với tính từ ngắn.

She grows old. She becomes beautiful.
