There was once a microbrewery in my small town that has a sign on the door which read “free beer tomorrow.” Of course, when it comes to free beer, tomorrow never comes. Many years before, I saw a more honest sign in a restaurant: Free steak dinner when you buy the $29.95 glass of water.

One of the hardest things for young people to learn is the difference between having fun and being happy. It is a cliché, but for some high school football quarterbacks and cheerleaders, high school was the high point of their lives. Whatever success you want to achieve, there is always a price that must be paid. Time spent in the library is more likely to lay the foundation for your future happiness than time spent partying with friends at a bar. . This is a law of the universe.
